I used everyday paper dolls cart. for all the cuts except the number and the letters those were cut using don juan cart. The paper I found at a scrapbook yard sale. I did not ask for the nurse permission to post her picture I hope she doesn't mind.

I read to my mids a lot, so they really enjoy books and when I found this paper by Karen foster I knew what kind of layout to make ,but I struggle comming up with ideas so that I don't cover the paper much cause I really love all the words and characters in the paper so I decided to doodle around the “story time” saying and just went over some of the things on the paper with gel pens and martha stewart fine point markers.

Card organizer/keeper

Some call this a card keeper others card organizer. I will post instructions later on, but all you really need is 6 sheets of 12x12 paper for the inside , some sturdy chipboard for the cover and the back and you can cover the chipboard with paper or paint it. I don't have a bind it all machine and I'm not planing to get one any time soon cause I really don't bind my projects and my hubby works at Staples so I ask him to bind it for me tbere. So you can take your project to a copy center at Staples and they will bind it for you really cheap.

I know what you are probably thinking, a house made with diferent cards, but no that's not what this is about.
I came across this post at the Cricut website:

Altered Tissue Box

This is the first time I altered a tissue box . I found tissue box cover made of chipboard and I decide to include my favorite pics. So I went for a "beach" theme. I used cricut "create a critter" cart. The paper brand is "imaginesce". I don't remember the collection name, sorry.

Basic Grey albums "Oliver"

I'm so happy! I finally found the type of scrapbook album I been looking for. This is a 3 ring album, like a school binder, so If your albums get really big cause you add more page protectors, but you hate having to take out the posts this is the kind of album for you too.

This album is part of the Basic Grey collection call "Oliver". If you are looking for a more femenine looking album, I recommend "Olivia" or "Green at heart" also from Basic Grey. I order mine at "Just Scrapping" my local scrapbook store in Port Charlotte, Fl.

Getting Dirty

Hi, I use the "Paisley" cricut cartridge to make the boots in this lo
and then I use one of the Disney cartridges to make the splats, I believe it was "Dreams come true" . The font is from"Life is a Beach" cart.

The sun believe it or not is made out of wood and is from provocraft I found it in a garage sale for .10c. I love going to garage sales, there's always a treasure to be found! I'm actually making a lo about going garage sale hunting hahaha.

The background paper is actually 2 pieces of paper the ski and the grass, I always get more of this paper at jOANNS. This is the kind of paper that always comes handy when you make a 'going to the park" lo or "my backyard" lo.

The sidewalk is a long sticker I found at a scrapbook store that was clossing.

I made this layout on of those days when you feel kinda lazy and you don't want to get the cricut out. I went to my local scrapbook store and since I always carrie a bunch of stuff with me, this day I decided to just use the paper at the store. I was glad that I found this paper it's just plain black bazzil paper, the chalks are bobbuny stickers and the other background paper with the stick people I don't know what brand is it.

I have a pantry door that I decide to paint with spray chalkboard paint, so when I'm in the kitchen the kids have a good time with their "art"

We went to see Toy Story 3 and I wanted to take a picture for my kids to remember that they went to this movie, who knows maybe they will take their kids to watch Toy Story 21 (hahaha).

For this Lo I use cloud paper that I found for.49c at Michaels. The stickers were also on sale for .99c.
I use Sesame Street Font in size 2.

My friend Rita and I went to visit Strawberry Fields. A scrapbook store that carries Basic Grey, Sassafras , and many other companies. Their designs are more vintage. I wasn't really into vintage until I visit this store. From 5 stars I give them 5, the store is clean, they have crop nights, they carry new products, good customer service,etc.

WOW Tea Party

Ok, some of you might be wondering: WOW? That's short for Woman of Worth. At least thats what I think so. Our Church has womans meting once a month but for mothers day we have a tea party. You can decide to host a table and decorate it really nice. This time I din't do it because I been realy busy. This is the first time my daughter comes with me to the tea party, she love it!
I also invited my friend Andrea. I was happy to see her mom and sister there too. Andrea has been my friend since I was 18, we meet in youth group and she is a treasure. I'm very blest to have her as a friend. I will definetely won't say for how long we been friends because that will reveal my age. And that's TOP SECRET.

My daughter won a prize that was kinda big, so she got really excited! It was a cow cookie jar that will go in her kitchen.

Easter (Kioshi by Basic Grey)

I made this Easter layout using the Kioshi collection by Basic Grey. I don't do bunny's for easter because I like to celebrate the true reason for the season and that's the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.

The bunny layouts are really cute don't get me wrong but thats not the message I want for my kids.

Anyways, I did not care much for Basic Grey, I used to think it was plain until my friend Rita got me wondering about this paper. So we went to this store call "Strawberry Fields" where they even have kits for this collection.

This is a vintage store. Well I never imagine I was going to like vintage layouts, because you have seen my other layouts, but now I can't wait to actually go back to this store for crop night and learn more about working with vintage paper!

A childs year

My mom teaches sunday school class to the little kids so shes always working on new crafts, this time she was helping my daughter finish her mother day gift. They recycle the plastic containers that you get when you buy strawberries.

I use "Don Juan" for the letters and "A Childs Year" for the girl cut.

The blue paper is coordinations and the flower and orange dotted one is from K&Company is the valentine stack that has robots and dogs.

The letter are 2" and the other cut is 4"

Just a Penny away

This is the first layout I made using the "Create a Critter" cartridge. I don't have this cartridge yet but I went to "Crop night" at another store and they had just bought this cartridge. The piggy is 3". I cut it first 4" but the heads on this cart are wide so I cut it again 3" .
The money are stickers, I only pay .15c for this stickers. By going to this new store (well is new to me) I learn to incorporate the pink fuzzy yarn in the background of the pictures. This is also the first time I use coordinations paper. I'm in love with this paper now.
Who new I was ever going to use pink on my sons layouts?!

Apparently when I was little my mom made one of these. I don't remember it, but she said they'd sing a song. "Here comes Gunny. Yum, yum yummy!" He would eat up the toys that hadn't been picked up and he'd keep them for a while.

I alter this photo box for a Valentine Swap at the cricut.com website. This is my first project altering a box. I use Pantjin Schoolbook cart for the hearts and for the word "love" I use Home Accents. I found the paper at Joann's.

At Betty's

Firtsof all I live in Florida, Fort Myersisn't far away from where I live but my husband doesn't like driving much. But this time we went there for other reasons , so I ask him to take me to "Betty's", it's a scrapbook/stamping place that I been hearing about, but Oh surprise when I got there! I din't like it much, the paper was old and ugly, butmaybe stamper will like it since it has lots of stamps. I did find a tissue box made of chipboard to alter.

Then while everyone took a little nap I went to Joann's, what a difference from the Joann's that is closer to me. This one is huge, the paper pads where 9.99, many punches were on sale, I discover sizzlets alphabets that I actually like. And I got fabric tomake scarfs for my kids, I will post the final product.

And I know I have to lose the weight!

I made this layout of y daughter painting using the numbers paper I found at Micahels, the crayons are a clear stamp I found at Michael's for $1.49.
This picture proves that a lot can happen in a few minutes, she was painting one minute then I got distracted for a few minutes and when I turned around SURPRISE!
She only said:"Look mommy I'm a clown"

Th red or coral spot was made with one of the disney princess cartridge. I do not have it because I considerer it has too many small parts to put together for one cut. The cuts are really nice don't get me wrong, but I just don't have that kind of time.

Sweethearts First layouts

This are the first two layouts make using the "Sweethearts" cartridge. My friend Lisa let me use her cartridge to make this layouts. When the cartridge came out for sale, I never think on buying it, but after using it and imagine all the stuff I could make with this cart. I decide to buy it that same week.
I love the second layout with the butterflies because because it was one of those lazy days when you don't feel like doing something to elaborate, but you know you gotta work onyour layouts. So I only added the saying and the butterfly. I found this paper at Michael's.

My Little Monkey!

This is my son John. He is almost 2. He is also very spoiled for obvious reasons! Isn't he cute?!
The story with this picture is that I can't never find a really warm jacket for winter , so after I had my daughter I learn that after Halloween Old Navy puts the costumes onclearence for a really cheap price. So my brother Jonathan got John his first costume for winter, like I said he wears this on winter when we have to go out, like church or doctors appoinments, stuff like that. The costume keeps him really warm with out paying $$$ big bucks!

My Daughter the Future Scrapbooker!

I just had to post this photo of my daughter Bella taking pictures, she loves taking pictures. I'm thinking on gettig her one of those kids digital cameras.
We have a scrapbook/Crafts room and she loves to create anything that has to do with glue, sissors and colors.

We recently made Valentines cards with the Cricut and a few flowers to put lollypops in them, but I forgot to take pictures. I was just so exhausted, the same day we also bake cupcakes for my mom who was sick and some for her sunday school class at church.

We also love baking!

I took advantage of the After Valentines sale at walmart, they had all the valentines products 50% and we got some frosting, sprinkes and cookie trays.

I just got the "Sweethearts" cartridge. I'm so excited I can't wait to get it on the mail!
I bought it on ebay for $31.00, yes you read right! $31.00!
What a deal!
I wasn't planning on buying it, but I went to crop night last friday and my friend Lisa had it. She led me use it and after making a layout with it. I knew I had to have it.
I wish that Michaels could have the booklets of the cartridges out, so that people can really see the entire cuts the cartridge has to offer. Maybe if they get lke sample booklets, people will have a better idea what cartridge to buy.

How to save money on Cricut products!

Someone post a question at the cricut website that made me write this article. She mention she had a cricut, but the products are very expensive to buy. I know that when you buy your first Cricut most of us have no clue how to use it, or if there are other places that sel cricut products for less, so here are a few tips.

1.-There are many websites where ou can buy cartridges for less than the retail price that is $69.99-$89.99, even the sale price at Michael's ($45) is high compare to other websites.

I always recommend www.Ohmycrafts.com , because they have bundles, like 4 carts for $99.99
0r carts from $19.99, if you sign up to receive their newsletter you will receive a weekly coupon.

You can also try www.ebay.com, you will have to create an account to be able to buy, but is worth it! Many of my carts came from ebay, I bought the Hannah Montana cart for $30.00, a childs year cart for $31.00, my communty for $24.99, Hello Kitty $40.00.

You also have the option to RENT, yes you read right, instead of buying the carts you can rent them at www.cartridgerental.com.

At this website you have 3 different types of rental options the cheapest one is for $13.99 and you receive one cartridge of your choice, you can exchange it at any time for as many times you want during one month.

2.- Cricut carrying bag:

Many of us know the high prices on this totes. I currently don't own a Cricut bag instead I use a gym bag that is paded on the inside with baby blankets and it has work for me.

3.- Cricut tools:

The spatula is the most commune tool you will use with your cricut it is more than necessary.

Check places like Walt Mart or your local Scrapbook store, ebay, etc.

4.- Cricut mats:

When the mats are not sticky anymore don't trow them away, instead buy GLUE IN SPRAY that is repositionable, this is very important it needs to be repositionable (I use Krylon Easy tack repositionable ) and spray your mats, you can keep doing this until your mat is completely dirty and this trick doesn't work anymore.

Some of you might be wondering what I buy on Black Friday. So I decide to share with everyone!

My first stop was Wal Mart they had awesome deals, cricut cartridges for $30.00.
To me this was the store with better deals on this cartridges, Michael's had the new ones for $35.99, that's $6.00 dollars more than Walmart.

Plus WalMart had kids pajamas and sweatshirts for $3.00 so I bought a few. I also got a coffeemaker.

After that I went to target and bought this movies for a really good price, I had to wait 30-40 minutes to pay .

My brother was at Toys R Us since 5:30 am, so everyone is my family ask him to get us the Christmas toys for the kids, I got this two animal buckets for $4.99 each.

Michael's had their sale since the day before so I got this memory makers embellishment center for $35.
